The Welcombe Hotel was the stunning location for this year's Christmas party. With the theme "Heroes and Villains", the team showed their creative side by making a statement and arriving dressed as various characters.
HARDlight Halloween
This year we decided to change things up by hosting the first The Great HARDlight Halloween Bake Off. With our panel of 4 exclusive judges, they were presented with 6 dishes to rate on spookability and taste.
Team Build Day
Wednesday 19th July marked our first face-to-face Team Building Day in a few years, and we were determined to make it bigger than ever! Located in a Tudor-style building on 16-acres of ground, Woodland Grange proved to be the perfect and picturesque location for us to host our event.
Develop
Develop is an annual event down in Brighton where game developers, industry professionals and people who want to get into the industry can attend to expand their network, showcase their games and technology and learn about what's going on.
SpecialEffect Golf Masters
We sent a team to represent HARDlight at the SpecialEffect Masters charity golf.
Former Rugby Union and Rugby League player, Scott Quinnell, was the sporting speaker for the event, alongside host Peter Scrivener.
The team contributed towards raising a whopping £40,000 for SpecialEffect!
SpecialEffect Birmingham Fives
On Friday 19th May, 7 of our team represented the studio by participating in the first ever SpecialEffect Game Industry 5's series.
